Red Memo Book: Transcript of pages 16 & 17

Pages 16 & 17 of the red memo book provide a rather bewildering summary of some of the intermarriages between the Barbers, Firths and other families of the upper Holme Valley. At present I am providing this as a transcript of the text only, and have not attempted to match the statements up with specific marriages and dates. Most of them are are likely to appear in other parts of the red book, in their correct chronological places.
